On the 17th and 18th, took place in Porto, near to Edifício Transparente, the final stage of the Beach Volleyball National University Championship.Through preliminary qualifying competitions and the finals, many were the teams that showed up to the challenge, fighting for victory, North to South of the country.
In the female category, Juliana Rosas and Tânia Oliveira from AEUFP were the winning team, by 2 sets, against Joana Resende and Ana Isabel Monteiro from U. Porto 1.
In the male category, Januário Silva and Fabricio Barros from IPP came out stronger, eventually defeating the duo Sebastião Alves and Simão Teixeira from AEFADEUP.
The bronze medals were given to Hugo Filipe Lima and Filipe Brito and to Ana Sofia Lima and Marta Esteves, from AAUM and U. Porto 2, respectively.
It should be noted that the winning teams will represent Portugal in the 9th European Universities Beach Volleyball Championship, to be held between the next 23rd and 28th near to Edifício Transparente in Porto.
