Last Thursday, July 18th, the 9th European Universities Beach Volleyball Championship was publicly presented at the Edifício Transparente in a ceremony that brought together all organizers and partners.Rúben Alves, President of Federação Académica do Porto (FAP) as the Organizing Committee President, opened the ceremony in which he spoke about the ability of university sports as an institutional link as well as the value that an wealthy sports routine as in students’ academic life.
Rosário Gambôa, President of Porto Polytechnic Institute and the University of Porto Pro-Rector, Prof. Manuel Janeira, representatives of institutions which together with FAP organize this sports event, proceeded the ceremony with praises to this joint venture embraced by these institutions and to all the work done to organize a successful sports event at a national and international level.
